School of Rock

If your kids have a whole lotta' love for music, let them unleash their inner rockstar at the Rock Band Camp! This summer camp is for ages 8-17 to learn how to collaborate and play together as a band. Kids will learn to play guitar, bass, drums, piano, and sing. Other instruments can be included, as well. The thrill won't be gone at the end of this summer camp because the kids get to play a concert for their family and friends to show off what they learned. 

While rockin' in the free world together, kids also learn to cooperate and express themselves in a healthy way while working toward a common goal. Just imagine how much fun your kids will have and don't stop believin' in the power of music! This summer camp is a great way to get a lot of the benefits of music by engaging in its seven uses. It's no space oddity, but a quality educational activity that adolescents and teens will actually enjoy, and the best part is that you don't have to go over the rainbow because it's in sweet home Northern Michigan at the new Jackson Music Program music school, in Fairview. 

Music instruments will be provided and kids who are ready to rock are also encouraged to bring their own instruments. 

So for those about to rock, this is the place to start. Even though camp is only two hours a day, your kids will be wanting to rock around the clock. Keep them from the bridge over troubled waters and sign up for your hometown Rock Band Summer Camp by Jackson Music Program. 

Dates: Mon-Fri, June 19-23

Time: Each day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Taught by JJ Jackson, master music teacher of all ages. Jackson's credentials include the 2012 Most Valuable Employee for the T.A.P. Method, 2013 Teacher of the Year, 2014 Excellence in Teaching for the T.A.P. Method, and 2018 Most Valuable Employee at a California music conservatory, where he then went on to be the general manager, faculty administrator, and lead teacher trainer. Over the last 15 years, Jackson has taught more than 10,000 music lessons to students as young as 1 and over 70-years-old. He's played in 13 bands and performed hundreds of concerts around the country, including the infamous Whisky A Go Go, in Hollywood. He's produced and co-produced 23 albums, and studied music at Central Michigan University.
